HOW TO OVERCOME THE SELFISH AROUND YOU
SURE , we meet selfish people in our life most of the time.Sometimes they make our life be unhappy .Most of us struggle to live a happy life without troubles , but without choice we meet selfish people .For example, some people are always trying to make others believe that their own world is the better one, while others will always cut you short and try to air their grievances when you wish to air yours. Yet others can talk for hours about themselves, making you feel like you are of lesser importance.
These selfish people love the idea of all for one—only when that one is them. They will dislike and devalue you if you don’t buy into their misplaced “superiority.”
If you’ve met someone very selfish or perhaps have a friend or partner who’s selfish, here are some concrete ways you can deal with them.
1. Accept that they have no regard for others.
2. Give yourself the attention you deserve.
3. Stay true to yourself—don’t stoop to their level.
4. Remind them that the world does not revolve around them.
5. Starve them of the attention they crave.
6. Bring up topics that interest you.
7. Stop doing favors for them.
8. Limit the time you spend together.
9. Actively seek better friends.
10. End the relationship.

I assume you’re referring to an incurable narcissist. On the other hand, if it’s someone you have hope for, possibly another approach is to set and example in your own behavior, showing interest in other people, asking them questions, and see if the self-centered one gets the hint. From time to time I’ve been the one who was GENTLY reminded by a godly role model that “It’s not all about me.” It was a humbling experience, but I think it helped me be more aware of my attitude. And less judgmental of people I perceive to be selfish, since I’ve been there myself. Bonus: No relationship had to end.

Good advice esp for people that are not aggressive and soft hearted. Gives them empowerment and helps realize you don’t have to keep toxic people in your life. From abusive family members one may not be able to do 10 completely but can certainly do 8.
