I showed the types of depression in the previous post in simple information. In this post, I will show the reasons of depression and treatment in mental health.
REASONS OF DEPRESSIONS
- Distressing life events
Sometimes distressing life events can take their toll on us. family problems, losing a job are all movements in our lives that can alter our mood.
- 2- Bereavement
Losing someone that is close to you can increase the risk. It is not always just the loss that causes the depression, it is the way we deal with it. If you don’t grieve or express your feelings properly, they can build up and contribute to depression.
- 3- Childhood experiences
Your childhood experiences can affect you in adult life. If you were physically or emotionally abused, or not taught to cope with troubles that enter your life., it could lead you to having problems as you grow up.
- 4- Anger
You may have gone through something that caused you to become angry, but at the time you couldn’t express your feelings properly. This type of anger becomes supressed; it can then build up and become a cause of depression.
- 5- Circumstances
Feeling like you’re alone, stressed, physically exhausted and / or have no one to talk to, can all contribute to the condition.
- 6- Physical illness
Some types of physical illness can alter how the brain works and cause depression.
- 7- Alcohol
Heavy drinking on a regular basis can make you more susceptible to developing depression.
TREATMENT OF DEPRESSION
I suggest if your case is not serious, you can be more social, friendly with the other, talk with the people you like talking with, walk in the parks with your family members or good friends, travel in good trips and watch comedy films, plays and shows. If you feel your case doesn’t get better, you should go to a psychotherapist, counsellor, psychologist or psychiatrist to help you.
