HOW DO YOU SUPPORT PEOPLE WITH COMPLICATED GRIEF?
Sometimes sleepless nights may go on for longer than expected, so a family doctor may prescribe medication. But if the depression continues to deepen, affecting sleep and energy, the family doctor may arrange for an appointment with a psychiatrist or psychologist. If someone is unable to resolve their grief, help can be arranged through the family doctor or other religious and voluntary groups. Some people may want to talk to others who have had the same experience, such as people in support groups, whilst others may want to see a bereavement counsellor, psychotherapist and so on.
